North Pole Experience Giveaway

Christmas is still over 4 months away, but no doubt it will be here before we know it. I love the Christmas season and do everything I can to make it a special time for our children. You may have read my review I wrote last December on the North Pole Experience in Greer, Arizona. Since December 2009, I have nearly told everyone I can about the NPX and what a truly amazing experience we had. We had not one disappointment from start to finish with this amazing event. The staff were all friendly and wonderful. The food (both dinner and breakfast) absolutely delicious. Our cabin - so quaint, clean and comfortable. Then there was the actual encounter with Santa and his elves. What child would not absolutely be overjoyed to actually enter into Santa's workshop. Build toys right alongside the elves. Have hot chocolate and fresh cookies near the area where they wrap all the toys. Go to Elf Training School. See where the Elves sleep and where Santa makes his Nice and Naughty List? And then to top it off meet the Jolly old man himself. But the fun doesn't end there. After all of that, you are whisked away back to Molly Butler's Lodge where the kids have story time with Mrs. Claus. It truly is an one of a kind experience that compares to nothing else for children!

Let me briefly explain what I think the general difference is between The North Pole Experience in Greer and the Polar Express Train ride that we have taken part in for two years. I truly feel that the Polar Express is a great experience. Don’t get me wrong, I am in no way saying that it’s terrible and you should never ever think of taking your children. Our family loved it. It was a fun family tradition. But having done the NPX now, wow I can tell you, there is a huge difference and the NPX is alternative option and in my opinion, NPX is the superior option.

NPX’s main goal, purpose and passion is to make their experience authentic. Their vision is to give your child the gift of believing they are in Santa’s Workshop. The detail that they have put into the entire experience is amazing. The groups are small and intimate, not a massive crowd everywhere you go. You get one-on-one hands on with the elves. NPX compares to no other. NPX puts a limit on the reservation numbers so they can preserve this special moment for your family. There is no crowd fighting of waiting in line for dinner or to board. It’s an enjoyable, relaxed experience. They have thought of everything from your comfy cabin, to the absolutely delicious dining (I can tell you first hand the meals at Molly Butler’s were amazing…the alternative is like eating in a cafeteria). Truthfully, what would you rather experience…The Polar Express where I think it was recorded they had around 110,000 riders during the Christmas Season or the North Pole Experience where they limit the nightly reservations, making your experience authentic, intimate and family focused. Their focus and goal is to maintain the magic for families and that is a beautiful thing!

The NPX understands that this type of experience needs to be special and memorable and not just for the children, but really for the parents as well. Of course the parents get the great pleasure of experiencing this with their children, but they really have taken it to the next level. When you enter Santa’s Workshop, it is filled with Santa’s Toy Hall of Fame. It was incredible walking into this room and seeing all the glorious toys that I played with as a child. And even my Mother got a kick out of seeing toys she enjoyed as a child. It really takes you down a path of memory lane. Plus Molly Butler’s famous historical Lodge is a great place for the family to hang out before or after you take the Candy Cane Express Train to the Workshop. They have inside and outside fireplaces to sit around where parents can relax while their children are enjoying story time with Mrs. Claus or even sit together as a family around the fireplace roasting smores. I can’t express enough just how different the two options are and how the NPX really made a memory with our family.

We actually loved it so very much that we made plans to return this year. We fell in love with Greer when we were there and just knew that we needed to get one more visit in before, well, before our children started to process of no longer believing. Imagine my surprise when I was contacted by the NPX and was offered to give away, to one of my lucky readers (4) North Pole Experience tickets and Dinner!! If you live in Arizona or nearby or even if you are up for travel time to NE Arizona, it is so incredibly worth it! Greer is like a picture perfect winter wonderland. You will love every single moment of this trip. Once again, you can read my review from last year here. Or if you have any questions about the North Pole Experience, leave me a comment. I'd love to tell you just how wonderful I think it is! I'll remind you, we've done the Polar Express twice and while I think it's a neat experience, it compares nothing to the NPX!

So on to the big, fantastic contest giveaway!

  3. We have done The Polar Express for years now but are looking for something totally different. I have heard such great things from multiple people about The North Pole Experience. I cannot wait to take my family there and make it part of our family tradition. I believe that the Christmas Spirit is something that every child and family should hold onto and value. What a great way to make it happen.

  4. What a great giveaway! Christmas is a magical time to us because it means giving and sharing. I love seeing my daughter so excited by being "Santa Claus" for a needy child, and the spirit of sharing that she so willingly exhibits. I'm so darned happy that I have such a kind-hearted little girl.

We've actually wanted to do this train ride but didn't get a chance to last year. Such a fun idea! Thanks!

  9. An ex-coworker of mine raved about this. I've looked into it every year & it just never happens for some reason (money, timing, etc). This would be a great Christmas surprise for my 4 year old girl :-)

But now that I have seen all of the information, I don't think there's any way we could NOT go. It looks beautiful and what a special thing for Lily - and for us. I've already talked to a bunch of mommy friends to figure out how to make this happen. Thanks for the info. Michelle Reaux

Hi Jen - thanks for letting us know about this great place! Christmas means so much to our family. Although the kids are always excited to open presents in the morning, we don't want to forget why we celebrate. We wake up and sing "Happy Birthday, Jesus". Family time is an extremely important part of Christmas!

Would truly like to partake in The North Pole Experience and see the joy and spirit of Christmas come alive in the eyes of my grandchildren -the true meaning of Christmas.

  29. Jen, I had planned on making reservations for the North Pole Experience before you announced the drawing. Your feedback from your experience sounds spectacular. Aside from my religious beliefs, Christmas to me is a time to let life slow down and and enjoy time with family.

  30. Christmas for us is all about FAMILY. Spending time together and enjoying ever moment! My whole family (3 sisters, 1-brother, plus spouses,10 grandkids and of course Nana Papa) come together to decorate the family tree and travel around looking at Christmas lights. We sit around watching Christmas cartoons from 1980's on VHS and sipping hot coca. But my favorite part of Christmas is Christmas eve! When my two children can't wait for Santa to come but refuse to go to sleep. They nestle up by the fire drinking more hot coco, listening to our animated mouse tell the story of The Night Before Christmas and I just sit back and watch...theres nothing better than them believing so strongly in the spirit of Christmas the way I still do!

  31. Christmas took on a whole other meaning for us in 2006. Our daughter,Brooke was diagnosed with cancer and everything we thought that was important prior to that became null and void. My daughters life, family and love is what became first and foremost to our family. '
Our traditions were always important to us. We put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving like clockwork. I have more Christmas decorations than normal furniture and the Christmas music starts the day after Thanksgiving too. We start watching the ABC Family 25 days of Christmas each night. And we always open up one gift on Christmas Eve.
With Brooke's diagnosis, it brought new meaning to family, faith and the spirit of Xmas. I cherished it so much more and will for the rest of our lives. It truly has new meaning for us and how we celebrate life in general as a family. I thank the Lord everyday my baby is still with me and that she is in remission. NEVER take life for granted and celebrate life, love and family!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I have never heard of this before and I thank you for bringing it to our attention. Christmas to us is enjoying time with friends and family. Life is too short and we need to enjoy it as much as we can.

    ReplyDelete
  33. This would be a great opportunity for us as a family to spend together for Christmas. We have not went on a vacation together as a family in years as we have had to take care of a family member who was diagnosed with cancer. It would mean so much to do something special with our kids and bring the magic and spirit of Christmas to them at the North Pole Experience. My son keeps asking me if he can go to the North Pole to see Santa Claus so I have been really wanted to take him there.

Your website is amazing and this trip sounds like so much fun.Christmas is a exciting holiday for our girls and family from shopping, wrapping presents, baking, church visiting family and volunteering. You can't forget the music, to hear my girls sing there hearts out, it's so funny. I always take this holiday and make the happiest time out of it. I love spending time with all my family on Christmas Eve watching my grandfather dress up as Santa, my grandma making sure everyone has eaten her yummy food. 43. Christmas is the Best holiday we have hands down! It is the biggest most celebrated Birthday Party ever; so Grand, elaborate & celebrated everywhere. It is the reason for our being. A time for family to get together to celebrate & create memories. It is the most magical time of year.

I would love to win & take my grandkids. I wish I could take my whole family as we all get together every Christmas. (all 7 sisters & their families). My nieces, nephews & grandkids already call me Mrs. Claus & think I have a direct line to Santa during the holiday. Winning this would be the icing on the cake!!! and make it much more affordable to plan a whole family vacation which we have been looking into for the last couple years. glewis990@hotmail.com

  44. Christmas is by far the best. With little kids in the house, it just warms my heart to see their little faces light up with such excitement! We have never been to the NPX but I know for a fact our kids would totally love it.

  46. Christmas has been and continues to be a turnaround point in my life (past/future). Somewhere in my past (years ago), Christmas became a sad time for me for whatever reason I can't remember why.

Even Having not been a big deal for my boyfriend in the past, we make it a huge part of our lives now to spend time with each other and also to focus on coming up with creative gifts for those in our lives on a tight budget. One of our traditions that we have created in our own household is to purchase a tree ornament that will be special each of us. Budget friendly and a nice competitive way to make things fun.

With not being able to afford a trip to AZ to visit family (which include children), we make it special in our own way to include those far away by creating handmade gifts by being creative on a budget.

Being able to experience this giveaway with family far from us would be a great gift for us and also them to actually spend a holiday with them instead of just seeing the pictures sent by email afterward. Don't get me wrong, pictures are wonderful but the actual family time together would be a great memory.

Thank you for posting such a great giveaway!

Nice to keep me in your contact list.
I enjoyed the photos you have on your face book!
Sure add us into the contest for the 4-tickets at Greer, Arizona. If we win, it would be extremely enjoyable to watch the kids in the snow! It has been difficult for us to take the children anywhere last year. Nathan ended up in the hospital, he caught the H1N1 before the vaccinations came out.

Hopefully, we will have a better Christmas this year:)

  57. This sounds amazing! Growing up Christmas wasn't a great experience for me. My parents were divorced when I was young and neither spend any time making the Christmas season enjoyable. Now that I have little ones of my own I am determined to make Christmas a special time of festivities and family. My twins will be 3 this Christmas and I am so excited that they will understand Christmas. It will be so much fun to see their excitement. I would love to take them on this experience. I didn't know it existed so thanks for letting me know about it!

But, we also enjoy the story of Santa Claus because of the wonderful lesson of sharing and giving to others. It sounds like this would be a memorable Christmas tradition for many years to come.

  64. OMGosh this would be amazing to take my kids, Christmas to us is very exciting, just to see the expressions on my kids face is amazing to me, leaving the cookies and milk out for Santa talking to them about the meaning of Christmas. When asked from family what I want for Christmas all I can every say is for my children to have the best Christmas ever, we are not fortunate to have alot of money so we have to make do with what we have, just being togehter, laughing and smiling to see them smile and eyes glowing is the most amazing thing in the world to me.

  65. I remember when my I was little and my mom would tell me how Christmas was so much better when you were an adult. Seeing/giving to your children was way more fun, blah, blah, blah. I never believed her until I had kids of my own. Nothing compares to making Christmas magical for your own children (no matter how big or small). On Christmas morning my hearts sings with joy, seriously, so true.

  68. I would so love to take my parents to the NPX with us in December. They live in Chicago and visit us each year at Christmas time to see my three young children. My mom is a 5x cancer survivor (lung and breast) so bringing her to a crowded place where there are long lines and lots of standing is completely out of the questions. The NPX seems like a magical experience her and my father could enjoy with us. Christmas to our family is decorating the tree, watching Christmas movies, enjoying each other and seeing grandma and grandpa and watching the kids get so excited for everything!

  73. Christmas means giving, loving and sharing. We take time to reflect on what we have (family, love and health). It brings back a part of our adolesence and hopefully encourages all to open their hearts by giving back to others who are less fortunate. As I tell my soon to be 3 year old daughter every day "when we share we get more in return".

Christmas is my favorite time of the year! It is about spending time with family and friends. I can't wait to be able to spend precious time with my two little guys...I'm sure they would love the North Pole Experience.

  90. Christmas to our family means sharing! Sharing time together, food and gift with all of friends and family. Christmas is our favorite time of year. There is always more love and magic in the air! Would love to surprise my kids who are 6 and 4 with this North Pole wowcation! : )

  91. Christmas means being with everyone in you're family! We have a new addition Isabella 6.5 months old and my husband will not be away in Kuwait like he was last year. My two younger children Kristen age 10 and Lauren age 8 still believe in the magic of Christmas! A free trip would be great and we would love to go with our three girls together as a family.
