We recently hosted a Toy Story 3 party at our house and I'd like to share with you our experience with the new set of toys that Mattel has on the market now. The Toy Story 3 Action Links allows you to design the adventures from hit movie! Each set of attachable toy is straight from the the various parts of the movie. Your kiddos can re-enact "The Claw" or watch as Jessie get swept away by'The Conveyer Belt." Action Links™ are different themes of linkable sets that snap simply together to create a one of a kind interactive adventure, straight out of the Toy Story world. The Action Links™ have the same concept of dominoes that with a push of a button triggers the fun chain reaction of events where the beloved characters fly through the air, race across a railroad track and zip line to safety and defend against the evil toys!

This set has five different stunts. You can choose your combination of the Action Links™ to get a different chain reaction every time. Small Toy Story 3 figurines come with each set.

From the minute I had the entire set assembled and laid out, my kiddos had a ball with the chain reaction type of toy. My children's ages are almost 7 and 5 and half. They are the perfect age for this type of toy as their coordination was perfect for setting the toy back up to start again. I would not recommend this type of toy to a younger age as it can be a little touchy and if you just barely bump one set, it will trigger the entire chain reaction, resulting in starting to set everything up again. This might be frusterating to a little one who isn't quite coordinated to re-set everything up. No joke, this toy kept my children't interest for hours on Saturday and on Sunday they couldn't wait to get downstairs, change up the layout and start again. All of the children we had over had a good time watching the chain reaction of toys and starting it all over again. It was quite funny because parents started really getting into watching the chain reaction and the first time my daughter and I did it, we cheered when it was completed.

I think this is a super fun toy for children, however, I insantly started thinking to myself, where in the world are we going to store all of this stuff. Leaving it out on the living floor is not an option. My thought is I could get a large plastic box with a sealable lid and the kids can just get it out when they want to play with it. But in my mind it's sort of like the Zu Zu Pets contraption. It takes up a lot of ground room and most people don't want it up all the time. Other than that, this is a very well made toy that does exactly as it says it does. If your little one is a huge fan of the Toy Story series (I mean WHO IS NOT!?!?!) this toy will be a hit. It is fun for them to watch their favorite characters come to life.

Along with the Toy Story 3 fun, we made tasty Smores and had Toy Story 3 plates and napkins

And of course we needed some Green Alien juice to go along with the aliens in the movie
